Ellie is 7 years old, blue, about 15 1/2 inches tall & a hefty 20 lbs. She's a sweetheart who has lost her home due to a new baby. Ellie had surgery on her hip as a puppy, due to a congenital hip disorder, and was allowed to be sedentary, instead of receiving daily exercise. Because of this, and being overfed, Ellie is approximately 5 lbs over weight, which limits her using her repaired hind leg. She's on a healthy diet and exercise program in our foster home, so we hope to have Ellie looking and feeling better in no time. Ellie is outdoor housetrained with good reliability, but she does not like to potty on lead, so a fenced yard will be required for her. She's lived IGs & with other breed dogs, and enjoys quiet, well-mannered kids. Please do not consider adopting Ellie - or any dog - if you're not prepared to make a lifetime commitment.
